Is my chair authentic?

I have a black leather chair which I think is a Wassily Model 3 Bauhaus. It has 'Made in Italy' stamped on the bottom of the seat and what looks like 'PB3'. How can I tell if it is authentic?

Tie it up and throw it in...
Tie it up and throw it in the water. If it sinks, its real. If it floats, its fake and should be tied to a stake and burned.
Others on this forum may have a less destructive means of determining authenticity.
