One of the best resources on the internet when one is considering a project such as yours can be found at lottaliving.com. Just type a search for bathroom remodel once you get to the site forum, and you will more than likely find something of value. Or just track through the threads. Or, you could post photos here and get some very good input. Hope this is helpful.

Here ya go
Just did my bath this past spring 2007. I like the Kohler hatbox toilet and the Duravit Starck bath fixtures. Here's a before and after. I especially like the Starck pedestal sink because it has ample space for setting junk next to the sink and it's the easiest to clean of any bath sink I've ever seen. The whole thing is one continuous surface of porcelain. Plus a couple towel bars that you can't see in the photo. One thing that helps it feel modern is tile right to the ceiling on all the wall but two very different kinds of tile to avoid looking too institutional (white porcelean 3/4 subway tile and green 1" glass tile). Maybe not, anyway I like it.

I love your color combos very nice, your old bathroom was frightening! Eek. I agree lottaliving.com would be a good site to check out..also http://www.eichlernetwork.com even if you don't own an Eichler I think you will be able to get some ideas from them.

Eeekkkk...
Wayyy too much pink in that old bathroom! Looked like an explosion of Pepto Bismol. I'm might be a girl, but I'm not a big fan of pink. Haven't been since I was a kid and my sister got to decorate the bathroom between our rooms and painted the entire thing pink...YUCK! Love your new bathroom. Love the color and love the style of the sink and toilet. What did you do with the tub?

Ha. you too. My dad made a hideous combo of paint mixing and came up with a sickening pepto-disaster. I had it on my walls for several years. I'd never do that to my child, ever! I'm still traumatized.

Hmm, I dunno the pink version kinda has an appeal
A, 'so ugly it's cool kind of a thing.' The redo is, of couse, way better , but there's something about the pink room that kind of appeals to me in an 80's/bad deco revival kind of way...

tub
The tub is in the same place, just a new, chip free white cast iron w/ frameless swinging door.

Heated floor
The best thing to make a bath feel modern is a heated floor. It's a joy when you get up to pee at 3am and the bath floor is nice and toasty 😉

Yeah...
When I visited Germany last year with my friend, her family had heated floors in the bathroom. It was nice 😀
And Olive, I can't deal with too much pink after being over-exposed to it due to my sister growing up. Pink in small amount is okay, but anything more than that just turns me off.
