Hai all,
I recently received a Jieldé lamp from an uncle of my partner.
He has an impressive metal workshop and needed some advice
with some industrial paints. I spotted the lamp, left behind high on a shelf. I knew I had seen it somewhere and its industrial character instantly appealed.
It had a heavy life and needs redoing the finish. It's also missing the disk where you can clamp it on to a surface and connect it to the electric net.
Can this be replaced? Are there new ones to use?
Thanks.
All of the ones
I've seen in Europe at the markets have been mounted on disc brakes, (the ones off of automobiles). All of the original Jieldes used to be clamp-mounted to desks or bookshelves or whatever. Nowadays, people like to make them into table lamps with two jointed pieces or floor lamps with five jointed pieces. They make the bases out of graduated disc brakes.
Thanks for your reply...
Thanks for your reply riki.
I would like to source an original clamp as mine is missing the end-piece wich is visible in the pic and attaches the lamp to the wall.
As this disk is missing I can't connect the electricity and close the circuit of the lamp.
I need this piece.
Are new pieces (official production) compatible or can somebody help me with info?
