matching lamps in a funky room  

I found a pair of lamps that I adore!

My problem is I don't want a overly matching formal look. I'm leaning towards a kinda global eclectic, contemporary/antique fusion. I feel like I am biting off a lot considering I'm pretty knew to design.

So what do you think? Could the pair add some balance to an eclectic funky room, or snuff out the interesting aspect?

I considered the pair on a console along with a single sculpture for a gallery/minimalist feel.

Considered using them on end tables.

Or should I harass him to split the pair?

Your designing minds advice would be appreciated, I have really come to appreciate the art!
