I just acquired this set of Bovenkamp chairs. The original invoice labels them as model 'Helge', executed in fabric 'chess 69'. The set was bought in 71, it seems it was a custom at Bovenkamp to hammer the productionyear in the wooden frames. This one's from 1970.
Wow, @lexi, this is awesome! I will try to contact Ole Christian Hassing. Thank you so much for this info! @leif-ericson
@herringbone. Glad you managed to get in contact with Ole Hassing and get the information you were looking for. 😉

@herringbone. Having checked the Bovencamp catalogue there is one more chair "Matta" (?spelling) pictured to the left of Alma. I think it is the low version of Model 20.

@herringbone.I hope you don't mind me raising this matter here? What is the story with IG? If you search all your posts on #moderndesignresearch you get a "page is not working" message. The same goes for #clamchairs and #muslingstol etc. Perhaps a challenge by someone? 🤔 🤐 . Hopefully it can be sorted. You worked hard and in "good faith" to unearth all this valuable information . 😌 I sincerely hope this thread is safe!

@lexi Interesting. I don’t get such a message. Can you open my feed? Can you open Zephyr‘s feed? Maybe it’s just a problem with hashtags? I don’t tag every post with #moderndesignresearch by the way, because for some of them no research is needed.

@herringbone. I think it is just a # problem. Phew... 🙄 I had no problems yesterday.... I can still check in on you and Zephyr for updates 🧐

Good. Check tomorrow. It‘s time for some Ole Wanscher. 😁

I will start now with a chronological listing of the Madsen and Schubell models. Might take me a few days because time is limited. I will go in groups of three - it's easier to handle.
MS 1 is the Clam. Arnold Madsen designed before the company Madsen and Schubell was formed. It started it all. The Clam was produced from 1945 on and was licensed to Vik and Blindheim around 1953. Production in Denmark must have ceised around that time.
MS 2 is probably the Pragh chair. Obviously it was influenced by the Clam. Henry Schubell is given as the designer. Pragh was licensed to Vik and Blindheim and Bovenkamp. Brun Rasmussen gives the production period as 1950 to 1961.
MS 3 is probably a hitherto unknown chair that only exist on one picture from Arnold Madsen's archive. Nothing about this model is known. It's also possible that it was conceived before the Pragh.
