looking for 'step' sofa

Hi:

I am trying to identify and find a sofa I saw in a store a few years ago.

It was brown leather, and looked like it was a series of steps, almost like stadium seating. It had no legs and sat directly on the floor. It came in two pieces, and I'm pretty sure it was a significant piece.

Sounds like Ubald Klugs sofa for Stendig; 'Terrazza'.
Two of these were sold in the last Rago Auction, Lots 183, 184:

your best luck would...
your best luck would probably be to keep checking for ones at auction.... at Rago or Wright. I don't know of any for sale currently. Too bad - you just missed one at Rago in April.
