OK, I know that coffee table I bought a few weeks ago, along with my sofa kinda sucked. Today, I bought this, thanks to a tip from a friend. Your collective good taste and informative posts has helped me so, thank you.
There isn't a metal tag like the one on the sofa, but there's a tin-foil type sticker "Glostrup"
Well, what do you think?

Hi PG,
I've got the same one! I've swapped out coffee tables a couple of times over the last few years and now it resides in my beau-hunk's studio...apparently I will have to pry it out from under the rigor mortis of his death grip before he will ever let me sell it. He is a delight. I have accepted his challenge 🙂
I had an unusual Grete Jalk streak a few years back where in the span of a week I found the three seater, lounge chair, coffee table and a side table, all for about $400 total. I'm always curious...what did you pay for it?
It's wonderful PG, I'm happy it's yours.
You have nice friends...
Solange!
Thanks for your reply.
I paid $50 for the sofa and $170 for the table. Speaking of coffee table overload, I have two black stained, square walnut tables (that belonged to my parents with smoked glass tops, and that, ok, really bad coffee table I bought in haste with the metal insets (also with smoked glass) already in my living room!! The new table is in the dining room, blocking access to a cupboard.
I have two spare open spaces in my living room - approximately 60" wide, on either side of the fireplace. So, a credenza would be nice and I'm also thinking of a wall unit. I like the Cado ones. Unless you have any other recommendations to look at?
I'm inspired, I'm going to sell a big, painted Ontario flat-to-the-wall cupboard to make MORE space! Ironically, my whole plan is to minimize! 🙂
I went to two church sales yesterday and didn't see a single stick of furniture OR lamp of interest...not even a decent piece of pottery. I accidentally bought quite a few bake sale items though!
p.s. and yes, you're right. I do have some great friends, who thankfully, generally hunt for different things than I do.

As far as those wall mount systems go, Cado is still my preference. The version with the L shape wood brackets, although I currently have both versions up and running.
I like the simplicity of the Cado components. HG Furniture (Hansen & Guldborg) is nice but I find the drawer pulls too fussy. There are others...
I would avoid any vintage Reff systems unless you really like the look . Reff was a Canadian company bought by Knoll in the 90's. Very common and easily found in our neck of the woods. They are often on the local CL with always too high asking prices. Average quality and clunky, uninspired components. You'll know it to see them. U shaped shelves and wood veneered metal wall standards.
In the u.k they have Ladderax. Nils Strinning string system is terrific looking, I've only ever come across one big vintage string system on a local online auction. I didn't bother to bid and it ended up selling for less than $100. Oh well. They are producing them new again with some different options, at least last time I checked.
You seem to be building up a nice inventory... 🙂
just added: imo, and without seeing your space, I like the idea of a credenza more than wall mount shelving.

I know exactly the wall units you're talking about - the ones on CL. They're always $999 (or so) and don't look anything near as nice as the Cadovius. Especially the ones with the locked cabinets (in my opinion, of course!). You know what? You're right, even not having seen my place. Credenzas are a much better fit. I have 60" on either side of the fireplace. You know what I love? Not knowing what will come next. Every time I read about a maker, I start to dig in to look at all the pieces and designs and then my mind wanders from my original idea.
Looking forward to both of our next finds.
Thanks.
