Ah -- nice
That screen is as close as it comes to the pattern Ed Stone used. And the pool is lovely. Not all pools are for swimming. . .
Yes, a pit is the thing. Particularly in a brick or stone floor ?

yes, it's a fern.... not sure which!
I like the mix and match on the dining chairs. Bertoias are vintage, DCW are newer vintage (like 2006!)
Thanks for the kind words!

Asparagus fern
Actually neither an asparagus nor a fern but more closely related to lilies. Protasparagus densiflorus

That Sideshow Bob plant
is really nice, looks soft and plush. I like how it counters the cool minimal lines and color of the planter.
Nice to see something other than a succulent in a modern planter too, though those are nice as well.

Here's some (awful, sorry...
Here's some (awful, sorry taken on my phone, will edit with proper images shortly!) pictures of my house.
First up dining room - The chairs/mirrors are temp until I find something I like, possibly 'downgrading' to some Elephant Grey shell chairs which should match up better with the Colombo lamp.
Living room - under major re-designing, new sofas (leather/rosewood) and a Finn Juhl Rosewood sideboard to plonk the lcd on.
