Does anyone have links to some creative, well designed, beautiful lighting within a reasonable price range (500-1000 USD)? It seems like I have been seeing the same designs over and over for quite a while. I would love to find someone doing creative one offs or small productions...

What type of lighting are you looking for?
a floor lamp?
a built-in ceiiling fixture?
a table lamp?
I bought the Sonneman floor lamp, the Treluci, and I love it. One shade is directed upward, which lights up the room, and the other two are down lighting my Grasshopper lounge chair and ottoman as well as my 1928 British Columbia wind-up phonograph.
It's massive and quite beautiful.

Sorry. Something hanging....
Sorry. Something hanging. Over a dining table.
I have seen that lamp you have, and I must say it looks very nice in your house!

Thanx.....
I have a Poul Henningsen PK5 pennant fixtureI have over my dining room table is beautiful, but, honestly, using a 100w bulb, it doesn't illuminate my smallish dining room very well...even with my white walls and ceiling!
Whatever you decide on, I'd start by going to a high-end lighting store and ask the salesman about the level of light on those fixutres you like. I wouldn't suggest a Bubble Lamp, because it's difficult-to-impossible to clean.
I bet the Articoke lamp lights up very nicely, if you can afford to buy one!

Tecnolumen have some lesser known models that are really nice, though not necessarily within your budget. The same goes for Wegner's The Pendant, which is height adjustable, and Jacobsen's AJ pendant. They are not too common, I think. Two other models I like are Bumling, a Swedish classic, and Bolero, a more recent issue.
It might also be worth your while to check out the complete catalogues of lighting power houses like Artemide, Flos and Louis Poulsen. They're not all staples. Other than that I don't know. Vintage?

You can have my chandelier...
You can have my chandelier once I swap the 72B for it, Jake. I'll have to appraise it first, however.

I would like something...
I would like something medium to largish. I have an idea for one that I may have made.
This might bore some of you, but I have considered having The Last Supper recreated on two slightly curved lithophanes (creating an oblong oval).
To find out about lithophanes click the link below. Very interesting.
Basically it ends up being a glossy white abstract formation, that when lit up, it looks like a glowing etching.
Aide from that, I did consider a bubble, but I really would love something thats a bit exuberant ... in an elegant way. I love Marcel Wanders stuff .... but way too expensive for me.

Arco Like Pendant
I'm using this Arco like pendant which gives off good light downward and also gives off a cool reflected pattern on the ceiling due to the holes.
