The jealousy pours from my veins. Can I ask how much you paid? I never see them up for sale and it would be nice to have something to go by. I almost picked a new one up instead of the (2x)LCWs and Time/Life stool, but quantity and instant-gratification won me over.

I paid
$175, delivered...well, to my mums, I still have to drag it home. Can't wait to see it in person
EDIT - I haven't done any research yet on what it might be worth (seeing it will help there) but that will help me make the old keep/move decision.
Wife digs it, that may change things....

Looks like a keeper, Waffle.
I wouldn't let this go, but then again, don't know what you have now (maybe your house is filled with early nakashima 🙂

If you do decide to let it go, I'll give you a couple times more than you paid for it...

My mom is sweet and will appreciate your thoughts.
The Oregon coast is pretty near to heaven, at least for me.
Keep on Rockin' it, Mark.

oh my
that will be interesting
truthfully. replacing the "petals" would be fairly simple I think. With that being said I am hoping that a simple refinish may be all that is needed. A good friend of mine who lives near my mom is a top notch carpenter and I may just take advantage of his expertize (he'll work for beer).

Waffle -
Are your petals mahogany? If so, you will want to do what you can to keep them original as today they're only available in plastic and teak.
