It's a sebaceous cyst. Basically a clogged oil duct. It can be drained, but it'll just fill back up. Sometimes it leaks and gets smaller for awhile but eventually grows bigger. Basically I just have to wait for it to rupture and then keep it clean while it heals. That, or it's full of baby spiders waiting to hatch.

Thanks. We're concerned that a trip to the vet might be too stressful for her to handle. It's been ten years since she's been in the car. To keep things on-topic, I just ordered three sets of new shock mounts and some reproduction bases for my Eames shells. I'm all about keeping things original - but I'd rather the bases match and not have to worry about visually judging guests weight before letting them sit. Black/Walnut dowel bases for the orange and ochre sideshells (currently on an eiffel and stacking base), and a black/walnut rocker base for my dark green armshell (currently on a lowrod/cat's cradle base). Hopefully they'll arrive around the same time as the other things I ordered earlier this month during the Herman Miller sale (pic of my selections attached).
picked up
a George Mulhauser Plycraft Mr. Chair (the type with the winged wood arm rests) today w/ matching ottoman. I think it is the older variant w/ the wood leg covers (or whatever you want to call them). Needs some housekeeping but pretty good shape overall. Will pick it up in a few days and update w/ pics.
as promised, pics.
ALSO, a Danish teak animal (any help w/ id?) nicely marked
a Fran Hosken table (a long time fan. Shocked to find oen)
A nice set of Heath Coffee cups (love heath to pieces)

I love the juxtaposition of "classic" quilted leather on such a modern chair design. Also, you seem to have a rat in your house. You might want to catch it before it builds a nest out of vintage chair filling (or in my case, modern Porsche seat filling and dashboard insulation, with a trail of urine and poop in the glovebox...).
some days
It rains...
Yes, I love those heath cups, I have a suspicion my wife may ask me to keep them.
I already have a plycraft Eames knockoff that I will likely keep. This chair was a one owner baby, a bit rough, but honest rough. Where it counts (the upholstery) it's terrific.
I think the RAT is Lonborg. Agreement?
The table might be my best find, though. Hosken is not that well known I think but early and influential.

Laurids Lonborg seems right for the rat...
I had not heard of Hosken until now. Had I seen it at a thrift store I would have bought it immediately...it's quite attractive.
This is not a negative commentary on the craftsmanship, it looks well made...had it not been labeled I would have assumed it to be a home made jobbie.
