Jim, great to see you've snagged that pastoe
cabinet from marktplaats. I recognise the little whole in the underside.
You've almost got the catalogue from that period now!
Great products and the birchwood really glows with age.
We gathered 3 different pieces from the japanese series:
I agree, greavesy.
The japanese series are overpriced and the
'Berken' series contain more solid wood, are more playfull
and sympathetic in style and material.
But the japanese cabinets have a very graphic look, display a striking
visual balance, the veneers are really thick (I think way more than on the earlier
pieces)...
They are just the next in line, the newer generation, spun from the same mind with the same ideals concerning modularity, clarity in design and construction.
best find for ages
...though they're not especially comfortable, were filthy but cleaned up really well, white leather, why wouldya?
Anyway 2 Barber Osgerby superlight 2 seater sofas for Cappellini, $150 for the pair.
Has anyone eve tried dying leather?
I took the glides off, they were stuffed.
I have followed
this post for a while and it always interests me what can and does get found out there.
While I have not felt the need to share all changed when I had a call to buy some danish furniture.
Walking a round the house looking if "there is anything else you might like" i spotted this light.
Very much in a sad state with rice paper shade which had gone completely and smoke stained cord.
A quick trip to Denmark for some lime green fabric covered cord and a LE KLINT 172A shade
Voila my new reading light.
It had me so intrigued and I love it as it works entirely on gravity holding the arm against the cord and stopping the light from dropping out the fixture!
