great lamp - question
picked this up today. Really like the black/white paint and the general form.
Question - Lightolier made plastic shade lamps, correct? They even had plastic refractors inside? Or is my mind playing tricks. I seem to remember desk lamps like that being attributed to Thurston. I'll see what I can find.

this is the Brown & Saltman dresser I bought and fixed up. IT was pretty grim when i got it. I'll give myself a B+ on the effort.

Picked up a set of 3 of these at the weekend. Unfortunately, no shades and lots of nicotine (1st pic).
The only similar lamp google came up with is in the "show us your lamps" thread here at DA (2nd pic).
Thurston/Lightolier as the poster in that thread suggests? The quality doesn't seem right to me.

Yes, Lightolier made plastic shades.
I have a Lightolier desk lamp with a plastic shade and a wall mounted swing arm lamp with the same shade and the clear plastic diffuser part is stamped/embossed Lightolier on both lamps.
They look very similar to your floor lamp.

yes, I am pretty sure it is lightolier. Everything points that way OTHER than I have never seen another like it AND it isn't marked anywhere. It is a wonderful light, though.

I got a second Hvidt armchair...
I got a second Hvidt armchair today, which means I need to finally order some 4mm cane binding and re-weave the backs on both, and re-do the cushions as well.

I also picked up this other lamp at the goodwill about 3 months ago but just discovered it's a george nelson design for koch and lowy.
