Hans Olsen modular daybed for Bramin Møbler (Model 161)
I acquired this teak, modular daybed set by Hans Olsen for Bramin Møbler this weekend for little to nothing at a garage sale. I was ecstatic when I brought it home, ID'd it and saw the estimated value.
Two of the modular seats have damaged webbing, one worse than the other so I'm trying to get info on how I can have them repaired. More on that is at the thread listed below.

picked
this up over the weekend. I debated with myself for a while before making the purhcase as I really didn't and still don't know if I really like it. For the price they were asking I figured I couldnt go wrong. The white and black portions are some type of laminate. Any one have any idea on the manufacturer?

Not bad, jdip! According to an auction up right now, it's a Brown Saltman table designed by John Keal!

Yeah - it might be wishful thinking on his part, just an attempt to justify those...aggressive...prices. I did a quick search and couldn't find any similar examples attributed to Brown-Saltman, so that's not promising. From my understanding, they were pretty good about marking their pieces. It might be worth acting like an interested buyer and sending the seller a note just to ask about what he's basing his attribution on!
Interesting sculpture
I just got this compelling sculpture that reminds me of the biomorphic abstraction practiced by artists like Noguchi and Leo Amino. It's a small piece, but very finely done. The only mark or "signature" is carved into the bottom of the base and looks like it may be a Japanese character.
By chance is there anyone on the forum who might be able to help with a translation?
