I came across some of this...
I came across some of this Lane brutalist bedroom furniture.
It is very similar to the style of the table.
Interesting.

Artemide metamorfosi lighting
Today I purchased the Richard Sapper, Kyron metamorfosi suspension lamp to use in my dining room with the Gae Aulenti, Tour table I got two weeks ago.
I also got the Carlotta de Bevilacqua, Yang metamorfosi floor lamp and the Ernesto Gismondi, Metamorfosi Kit 4.
I already have five (5) other Artemide metamorfosi designs in my collection. They are fun.
For good measure they gave me a Michele de Lucchi, Tolomeo Pinza Clip Spot (promotional) lamp for Artemide.

.
No eye rolling please, this little ceramic pot has been sitting in a second hand shop with a piece of masking tape with 80 cents written on it for months, its always there whenever I go and I always notice it but pass.
Something about it... undercut on the inside of the lid, 1/2 mm raised foot ring (is there a technical term for it?). I don't now, so modest but someone bothered to put some thought into it.
ooohh and I got the Global knives, nasty case of affluenza coming on but since the drinking and smoking ceased and started cooking from scratch theres more money to splash around.

Three Gunnar Cyren plastic...
Three Gunnar Cyren plastic Dansk pepper mills (I have been into brightly colored melmac stuff lately), and a pretty clean Nessen Studio swing arm lamp from a thrift store for $10. I will order a glass reflector and a shade for it.

mystery table
love this table. Was really beat up when I bought it but it cleaned up nicely. I have no idea who/where/when. I'm not even sure as to the wood. Walnut? It's big and beautiful
UPDATE - That, my friends, is ROSEWOOD. I knew I had that wrong.

The Magic Dumpster Lives!
And of course, being magic, appeared near my friends work at a local university instead of my own backyard. Much to my surprise my friend hauled out of his car a Jacobsen lamp in 3 separate pieces. The base had been snapped off the stem, the stem was kinked, and the cord had been ripped out of the base. He recognized it only as my "funky retro style".
I've always admired the lamp, but now I need to decide if I want another project piece or eBay it for parts. The image is pulled from the web, not my actual piece.

Wegner daybed
Was psyched to find this on craigslist as I have been waiting for a cool daybed to pop up. Needs to be reupholstered but other than that is in great condition. I thought it was a great bargain at $550.

last weeks craigslist finds
A pair of Drexel nightstands for $50
Both have rings from years of drinks being left on them. I really wish I knew how to refinish stuff furniture. It is on my list of things that I need to learn how to do.
I know this isn't furniture and will probably catch heat for posting it but I picked up this sick Iverson Charger for $40. New tires and some 0000 steel wool to bring the chrome back to life and here she is. I have been cruising around on this for the last few days dodging yellow cabs.

@geo
I'm sure the stem could be bought as a replacement part...but what fun would that be compared to disassembling everything and rethreading the original stem, then rewiring the foot switch and the base?
