Lucky you, it'd be nice to hear some more descriptions on here of how we use all the stuff we've collected.
Living alone kind of sucks food wise, I'm getting fat and there is no one else to clean up after my excited whisking and kneading.
Are they stable? I'd hate to get a floor full of casserole.
.
Must get some more things out of storage, think I have about 10-15 le creuset pots (blushes, it feels so..gluttinous) but I've left ALL the lids in boxes since I moved.
Risotto has never really worked for me, have you tried arancini (?) balls, basically deep fried risotto balls, I made some 'shroom ones a few years ago with blue cheese, so rich you can only eat about 3 at one sitting, a great treat though.
Heath, the saturnus pots are ...
Heath, the saturnus pots are very well balanced. Bottoms are cast iron fire friendly surface, while top is all enamel. If you look at the pic of the red one, you will see that the top of the lid I'd flat. This enables one, to flip it over and sit like a bowl. Essentially, after cooking, you have two equal bowls to serve from. We used to put the vegetables out of the steamer into the lid to serve along with whatever was in the pot. Both sides stay nice and warm for a good whille after cooking.

"your pendant lamp does look like Orrefors. I have an original
brochure that i should scan."
Rockland, I would love to see it. There's a lightolier label on the ceiling cover. It could be a replacement or a remnant from another lamp. It's not a common fixture so identifying it has been tricky.
trittium,
I'll get to it. (home in chaos putting up last cado unit finally)
They were designed by Carl Fagerlund. Presented custom by
Hansen lamps in NY for Lightolier. Various fittings were used so
that may be the confusion. I have three square olive green ones
connected to a brass plate with brass rods over my dining table.
Just did a google search for Carl Fagerlund
(wow did he make some funky lamps) but found a pic of mine...
.
I have a hassock fan. Does it fire up?
Have not seen that one.
Crappy weather in NY so i went to a whole-house sale.
I don't need any more crap and i'm not much of a salesman.
I think if a highway antique mall was nearby, i would consider
a booth. Can't imagine the hastle of e-bay. Just don't have time.
Seeing the interior of some of these homes is priceless. Full of lucite
and mirrors.
I spent 10 bucks. 5 on some kitchen things and 5 on a lamp.
Surprised that the dansk enamel is so thin and lightweight.
Some copco stuff that is ok. (i'll take it to dinner parties and not mind
if i leave it behind.)
The lamp is the GeorgeKovaks feather floor lamp by Sonneman.
Not something i would seek out but it is an amazing design. It is an
older one and minty. The paperwork was taped under the base.
