Great! Did you get that from Patrick & Alix? I remember they had one listed for the "Out of the Mud" fundraiser. Which leads me to wonder how Koen is doing, long silent....

1) Grete Jalk coffee table....
1) Grete Jalk coffee table. I've scored two of these in the last month.
2) Oak end tables that look like Lou Hodges, California Design Group, but are probably just generic, unless anybody has anything to add.

saw a mobler settee or love seat. REALLY nice teak.
Anyone have any info on Thonet Brno chairs as discussed in the epic Thread 3? Did Thonet make repro's in the 60's, 70's, 80's????

Hi Expo, would you be so good as to photograph the underside of the Jalk table? I'm curious to know how the connections were handled.

Thanks so much, I was expecting to see the legs set into something much thicker, it looks much finer than I thought it would.

thonet chairs
well, the site on eBay that is selling Thonet chairs responded that they are from the 1970's. They are labeled. They are the cousins of the one's I scored. The angles and the depth of the seat seem right.
So I do think they are thonet and those attributed by other dealers appear to probably be so. Interesting
Will try to remember to get a pick of the ladderback chair today. V. Curious what people think it might be

My purchase two weeks ago
at a second hand store in Aigle, Switzerland. A coffee table by Raymonde Le Duc from the Vallauris poterie region of southeastern France. I think the zodiac design is more rare than his botanical/leaf designs, but, regardless, it looks lovely in my TV room. Purchase price--88 franc/88 USD.

@Heath
The stretcher that...
@Heath
The stretcher that holds the base to the top has two outside screws and a single hidden dowel in the middle. The entire base however is mortised together with the two long stretchers also having allen bolts and connectors in the ends. There are 26 mortise joints total! The base is rock solid as a result, and is probably why the connection to the top is simplified. There is no movement in the base at all so the top connection is minimal. Quite smart actually.
The other posted pictures are from the end table I think, not the coffee table with the slat shelf.

It's
not an end table. I just have a different coffee table by Jalk than you do.

does this look like anything?
this is that chair. It is compelling but hard to pin point.
No label
Oak. That weird wire strapping. Great arm rests. Pegged all over. Those odd pegged on legs.
