Yep, you all were right, its a knock off! I bought it anyway, its in good condition and will serve as a placeholder until I find a real one for $300 (but I wont hold my breath!)

Why this morning
I picked up a couple of linen toss pillows for the patio, as I'm getting sick of the bird pillows. Not really mid-mod..but I liked them....I guess. The store where I purchased them is quite hip for Worth Avenue. I am becoming a toss pillow queen. I need an interaction. I don't even like toss pillows. I like pants. WWRD? (what would Ray do?).

my wife
has a toss pillow problem also. She cycles them out. She's vicious. I think they have some sort of deep seated MEANING to her.

Yes I agree with you. I thought the same thing too when I picked up that fish-like metal fruit bowl with the rattan accents. I was hoping it was some Austrian MCM thing from Walter Bosse or Carl Aubock but there's no patina on it, too new looking. I can't pinpoint the retailer that carried this piece either, could be any one of them, but I like it a lot and I guess your wife did too since she bought it.

This was from an estate/garage sale, it's dark green/ burnished by age to black, all original, some wear but a very good deal! This displaces a yellow armshell on repro. cage base to the closet.
