Thought I ought to start a new one, as we passed 100.
And why not open with a real showpiece (at least, that's what I thought):
a modular sofa set by Hans Olsen, produced by N.A. Jorgensen and distributed by Bramin (it's labeled Bramin, Made in Denmark on the underside of the table).
After losing out on a Vodder desk (remember my question about reproducing drawers) and some other items I feel I hit the jackpot.
I bought it very, very low price. All woodwork is immaculate but the rattan needs to be redone. Does anybody here have experience with such a thing, what could be the cost?

Fantastic score-one of my favorites, Congrats!!!
As for the caning, if you are a bit industrious and willing to put in some time/work, you can do it yourself. See the thread below. tchp's guide which is linked in the thread is extremely helpful. Its harder than working with papercord, but once you get the hand of it, not so bad. I did two chair backs and was very pleased with the results.

bj, it is a big help to have most of the caning intact if you opted to try doing it yourself. If you start to carefully dissect it, taking some photos as you go along, you can figure out the method they used. Those chairs use a pretty wide piece of cane, and it is not a really densely woven pattern, so it could be less time consuming than some.

'Look Modern' in Portland Ore had one of these in last month, not sure if theirs had any repair work done, but they might have some info for you.
