Thanks, I was pretty surprised to see the set. I see pairs every once in a while, but this was from the original owner who bought them for his business in the late 60s early 70s and put them in storage when he retired.
They are second generation shock mounts so I suspect 1970-71 at the latest.

Probably my favorite color on your chairs.
Best,
Mark

Thanks Mark 😉
And thanks all for the kind words. I have no idea where to fit them at this point, as I have too many chairs...but it is a problem I don't mind having. Every time I promise myself not to buy another shell, I see a great color I don't have and ... well you know the story. ;-/

Brutalist Credenza Paul Evans Inspired, for sure
got it.
A brutalist credenza, completely handcrafted, including the metal pulls. the person behind this piece was surely trained. looking for markings to identify. will report back if I find any. Anyone familiar? Paul Evans, I hope...one can dream big.

This Curtis Jere wall...
This Curtis Jere wall sculpture is a gift from a friend who knows I love bicycles and mid-century design. I have to say that I have never been that crazy about these wire sculpture things, but this one I love!
Edit: Picture fixed by DA

Could someone explain why my image looks like crap when viewed on here? It's a clear, crisp image on Flickr, but linked on here it's all blurry.

I had same problem...
I had the same experience with photos that were re posted from flicker.
(I used the middle pixel setting on simple iPhone photos)
Looked great on flicker, not so great here.

Gene & eameshead
Probably because the browser is re-interpolating the image to a different size for display. There are too many reasons why this could happen to tell you precisely which is causing the problem. If I had a screenshot of the page on your computer and a link to the Flickr image I could probably tell you the technical reason why.
But you probably don't want to know....

flickr
Just use the flickr URL for the appropriate size image (640 or 500) and I don't think there should be a problem.
