lamps...always more lamps
a matched pair of just great, statuesque table lamps. Must have lived with a 3 pack a day type as they were filthy.
and a really weird green plywood laminate thingy. I have never seen anything like it. Works are vintage...but might be a custom job? It's odd for sure.
EDIT - and yes, it's sort of green

to agree I'm afraid. The turned one is rather surreal.

I got this lucite and brass floor/torchiere lamp last week for $5. Excellent shape. The brass sheet metal is all hand formed and welded to form the faceted shade. The lamp cord is concealed in a channel on the edge of the clear lucite column. I don't normally collect 80's (70's?) items, but I also can't pass up something this finely made when it is virtually free. I saw one on 1st Dibs, but it was only identified as being in the style of Karl Springer.

Will work for chairs...
I bartered a deal for a pair of these and a walnut stool from a client's display for some layout work.

great chair
bgillettephoto,
Yes, that is a great chair.
I also compliment you on the cool accessories in the previous photos. Of course the Hassleblad camera and the Bang Olufsen receiver with the green Pro-Ject turntable.
I have my eyes on the new JA Michell TecnoDec. I would prefer the GyroDec and I like the "old school" Syncro with rounded corners.
You do have refined taste. Congratulations.

am keeping the Bose 901
I compared them to my Klipsch KG-4's and I prefer the Bose.
So I bought the matching Tulip stands (which are still made in Canada). They need a bit of housekeeping, but I am quite pleased with them.

Mark, Niceguy -
Thanks! I've had my eye on them for awhile, but never felt comfortable ordering since the grain varies so much and I wanted to make sure I had a matched pair with lots of character. Since these were on display I was able to see them before I bought them. One has a small gouge that I filled, but otherwise they're in perfect shape (which is outstanding as they were made in 2009). I also managed to add a walnut "B" shape Time/Life stool into the deal.
I'm itching to shoot new photos of my place and collections - but it wouldn't look good to post such photos while my clients are waiting for theirs.. Through being a hermit, opportunity, and keeping daily expenses to a minimum I'm managed to acquire some great pieces on my artist's budget. That turntable was actually paid for with the proceeds from my first "professional" shoot, and when I was waiting for it to be rung up I managed to throw in the Beomaster 3300 for $100 in perfect condition. Unfortunately I don't get much time to sit and truly "listen" to music these days so the turntable hasn't seen much use. Instead I have an Airport Express hooked up to the Beomaster to stream from my lossless library.
At the moment though I have to figure out what I'm going to do with my Eames 671 ottoman. I thought a clip was a snap and managed to rip the clip out while removing the cushion... It should be an easy repair, but it's just another addition to my never-ending to-do list.

Waffle -
People give BOSE a hard time today (and rightfully so) because they took a great brand and destroyed it's reputation by putting too much into marketing hype and not enough into quality. Those 901s though are what gave BOSE a good reputation in the first place, and with the stands will not only sound great but look amazing as well.

I'll send a pic when they are set up. Am going to keep my eyes open for the matching equalizer, but durn it, I think it sounds pretty good with the equalization I am using...

LCW
bgillette- What type of wood veneer is that? It does not look like the typical Palisander.

The LCW is standard palisander. I've seen so many variations that I don't think it's possible to define a "typical" palisander. I almost bought a DCW that had wide, light, almost maple-colored stripes outlined in thin, dark brown.
If you're referring to the closeup of the ottoman that I messed up, that's the new oiled palisander finish.
