Aarnio pieces. There are also some really interesting plastic pieces designed by Stewart McDougall

Yesterday
I picked up this delightful two-sided earthenware ceramic vase by Tuscon artist Maurice Grossman. I love the whimsy, the Italian qualities, and the nod to Picasso.

Your images did not load when I first opened the thread.
Those Aarnio pieces are insane! I've not seen them before. Very cool!

Pegboard, I'd have never...
Pegboard, I'd never seen them before either and have been unable to find them anywhere else on the web....Odd that these pieces have slipped through the cracks over the years.

I got these awhile back
but I don't think I've posted about the cat thing before. It's one of a kind, home made of wood and is two sided. I bought it at an auction on behalf of my daughter. I'd called her there to look at a couple of Brno-type chairs and she said, "eh--but what about this?" and pointed to this thing, which I had not really noticed. It looks like a gate of some sort but I can't remember if there is any indication that there were hinges on it. Googling "Kat's Whisker" doesn't bring up anything other than some place in the UK. (Note that it's one whisker. Not multiple whiskers.) It's kind of weather so may have been an outdoor thing but maybe was just stored in a barn for a long time, we don't know. We don't know anything about it. Any ideas?
The other is my giant crewel piece which I think I've shown here before but it's in a new spot where I can finally get a full on photo (sorry for the graininess--dim lighting). It was designed by Erica Wilson, wife of Vladimir Kagan. She did a lot of traditional stuff but also some things like this that look great in a warm Danish mod environment. My daughter also recently got the same thing in a slightly less huge size on Ebay. Mine was only $2 at auction!

finally, a dining table shade
I have been looking for a long long time. Think I finally scored something that will look right.
What is the correct term for these babies? Plastic DIY? Folded shades?
It's vintage judging by the works.

I checked this thread to see the newest replies and as I scrolled down I saw your post with this photo. I don't know how I missed it before, but that outfit is too much! I love it. You look like an orange creamsicle!

Pique assiette table
Mosaic with broken plates.
Happened to be there yesterday when they brought this out on the floor in one of LA's more bottom-feeder thrift shops.
Two chairs came with it, familiar Victorian garden style, heavy (at least 70 lbs each)floral patterned iron painted white, with a little rust but not very old, not original to the table.
