Looks nice! Glad it got rescued. I don't think it's a George Nelson design though - check out this old thread from last fall, where this common misattribution was hashed out (at great length, ha). Your table's actually pictured in one of the newspaper ads that straylight attached, so that's cool to see! Not Nelson, but still cool.

Just picked these Selig...
Just picked these Selig tables up at a garage sale. They've been well used and have some rings and finish damage. The caning is good on two of the three. They were so cheap I just couldn't walk away. Google search isn't conclusive on the designer - anyone know?

FURTHER research
a Martin Borenstein conversion sofa, patent submitted in April 1958.
I did a pretty thorough google search and never found another example. The only way I was able to ID was because it had 2 patent #'s on it (one general one DES for Design). Is it possible this is a one off? A prototype? It has that look about it.
And the nice ladies at the thrift store found the remaining cushions (although replacements I am pretty sure)
