more sexy handles...
franklydiscreet, I saw your post and immediately looked up all the Bernhard Pedersen info that had been posted by Mr. Pedersen. I'd been trying to ID this for months. How cool for him to share. Looks like we may have the same piece but in a different hue. I don't think mine is rosewood or mahogany, the grain looks more like teak. Maybe a stain of some kind. Were you able to ID the year and model number? This one is 7ft and has five drawers on the left and one right w/moveable shelf. One large shelf in center.
It's all about the handles....
Mine is teak. It's model No. 144, 1968 and is 82.75" long. There are 4 drawers behind the left hand door, one shelf behind the large compartment covered by the 2 central doors, and 2 shelves behind the right hand door. It came with a hutch as well, a pretty wide one at 77.75" but I haven't seen the hutch illustrated in the catalogue.
Couldn't resist
Picked up the exact same wood arc lamp as in the picture posted.
Price: 30$
I had to, it was so cheap!

1969
Its the 1969 third edition so worth about $1500 - the earlier editions fetch a lot more - I heard of over $30,000 for a First but there were only 100 of those printed. Sort of a happy accident as I'd planned to go somewhere completely different this morning but the weather forecast was bad so I stayed near home - and the weather stayed fine in the end
Thank you
paulanna,
Thank you for your posting. I truly like Ed Ruscha's work and I had no idea this piece existed.
I haunt several locations that have old books and the only thing I found worth acquiring were the Keiler & Company, On Being One Hundred for Deloitte & Touche LLP ($3.00) and the High Museum of Art - Chorus of Light - Sir Elton John Collection by Rizzoli International - personally inscribed and autographed ($40.00).
You have provided me with great knowledge and a desire to find this book. Thank you again.

Found an absolutely mint...
Found an absolutely mint condition Paulistano chair for $200 out the door!

Also got a mint condition Noguchi table in walnut with an extra glass top for $500 from the same place.
And I'm debating going and picking up the B&B Italia Charles sofa they had...it's in perfect condition and they are asking only $1800 (could get them down to $1500 probably).
Dining table
This weekend I got an Arne Vodder dining table for Sibast. Can be set up to seat only 2, or 4, 6, or 8-10. Very versatile. The table breaks down into such small components that I was able to bring it home in the back seat of a compact sedan. I think I finally found the table I want to keep.
