Hi all.
Just bought a set of 4 dining chairs by Kurt Østervig for K.P. Møbler.
I know who Kurt Østervig was but I did not manage to find nothing much about K.P. Møbler. Do you guys know anything?
Do you have any info about my chairs maybe? They are in solid oak but someone thought they would look nicer stained in dark brown 🙄. Happily, they are in great conditions and all have their original cushions in wool (in perfect condition!). Based on their look I would say end of the 60s but really I have no clue.
Thanks in advance for any info!
From what I find, K.P. Møbler was a relatively small company from a small town near Odense (Sønder Nærå), which from the early 20th century on made all kind of furniture. Founder was Knud Peder Jørgensen, hence the name. I can well imagine that not all of the stuff he produced was as nice as your chairs. And I'm all in for shocking advertisements. 🙂

@herringbone. Thanks for the info! Much appreciated!
very curious about he shocking advertisements too!
Hey, @tktoo2, good to have you back! Realized you wasn’t around for a while and hoped you were well. Seems you weren’t ...

Thx, @herringbone! We were away with no internet connection except for intermittent cellular data. I'm fine. The headlines would have us believe half the country has gone mad along with our would-be dictator, on the other hand, and in some ways that seems accurate. November can't come fast enough.
@leif-ericson, you are such a tease!
