I am an owner of a chair, designed by the danish Hans Wegner. The model is a Getama; GE 290. The material is in oak, but it's since been painted in black, which makes it outstanding and unique, especially with the new cover, by renowned british textile/fabric designer Andrew Martin. The fabric is from his "Favourite Collection"; Fab 4, in colour "Taupe".
I am very interested to hear if you have an idea how much it is worth and whether you may be interested in buying it.
I allready know the chair is highly desirable international.
Furthermore; the chair have a stamp; Getama Gedsted Denmark, and with a serial number, which proves its orginality.
