I hope I don't come across as pompous but I'm pretty amazed at the lack of enquiry and appreciation of context in the negative reactions to the table. De Stijl and its principles are fundamental to an appreciation of modernism, it was a fascinating movement and is worth reading about.

Were they trying to prove a point? If so, well done I guess. But as for timeless design... doesn't qualify. Being so "so" or too "too" isn't clever. It's lazy. I guess I'd be bordering on sacrilege by saying Warhol was mostly a bore to me. But he was just that. Meh...
