Hello All:

I'm gonna try posting a couple photos of this wooden chair that I have that has the words 'made in yugoslavia' embossed underneath. It's my 1st time trying to post photos here, and 1st time using photo bucket so I hope it works.

The chair does not have cushions and that support webbing is intact but has lost it's tension. Structurally + cosmetically in very good condition, a little dusty now.

Was thinking about either selling OR investing in an upholsterer to fix that webbing/make some cushions. If you could guestimate the value that would be helpful. Does this type of chair have a specific name?

Thx

The final value of the finished chair is going to be infinity less than what you're gonna spend on doing it up. Not a fine example. Perhaps find anothr project? Maybe someone will come along and tell me I'm wrong - who knows?

As you can probably tell I'm completely new to this site; does "yugoslavian danish" mean it's a Pc O' Crap?
Plz advise. Thank you.

welcome mpcMPC
Those of us a bit more in the know are generally disappointed when we find yugoslavia stamped on a vintage piece of furniture. Apparently, there was a healthy industry there at one time cranking out knock offs of recognized designs. Having said that, there is little value to your chair. However, If you are an environmentally conscious sort, It would be smart to reuse a chair like yours. It seems like a reasonably attractive, if somewhat bland version of a danish design. Again, welcome.

thx, glass artist et al.
Funny you should mention the enviro thing, that's one of my passions (I recyle EVERYTHING); and am an environmental engineer by day/drummer by nite. Peace out + thx again.
