I'm sure there are some Ebay sellers among the DA crew, so I thought I'd see if maybe one of you can offer some advice...

I have sold some stuff on Ebay on and off for some years. Since Ebay is always trying to find new ways to make more money from their sellers, I try to use as few of the extras, (such as more and bigger images) as possible and instead use a free picture hosting site for my listings.

So far, I've used Photobucket, but I find the site slow. I also don't like that when bidders click the thumbnails in my auctions to watch the images in full size, they end up on Photobuckets fugly site.

Is there another free image hosting site, with a cleaner look?

You can now upload 12 photos...
You can now upload 12 photos direct onto ebay? Also with zoom and enlarge features. List 5 items within 30 days for free. Top it all off, 8.75% or $20 for 5 listings. So folks, list that desk lamp I've had such bad luck accquiring!

thanks woodywood...
I didn't know you could use flickr to host images and link from ebay. Flickr always looks clean and nice, so I will check that out...

Yes
Just go to the "All Sizes" link for your given photo, and there you can select the URL for the desired size of the image.

Check my ebay site...
Check my ebay site sixtyseventyeighty (Australia)
and tell me what you think as I use 'the clean' photobucket (html). I have a 95% success rate and this may have something to do with it

Here's what I do
I take a snap(s) with my digital camera and load them in my computer....and do any editing required.
When I go to eBay to set up my listings, I use their photo upload, which uploads the pix right from my computer directly to eBay.
It works well for me, and thus far, I haven't found any reason to use any third-party photo websites.

It isn't free, but
"deadzoom.com" gives you perfect images, at not too expensive a price (ca. $35 per year) - plus, they're good people. I've been using them for ebay imaging, and no problems at all.
