Hi all,

I recently picked up a very down on its luck Womb Chair which I believe was from the 60's. Unfortunately it wasn't tagged so nailing down the dates has been difficult.

The legs are solid so I believe the glides, which are missing, are the slip on rubber ones as there is no screw hole present.

The cushions are down-filled but in my searches I couldn't find out what period they used the down cushions in.

I'm coinsidering just having the entire piece re-upholstered as the chair is in shambles, but the cushions are surprisingly nice. Any recommends on how to have them cleaned safely? ANy idea what fabric this may have been?

Here's a few pics for reference:

Before re-upholstering, check all the filling thoroughly. I think a single color tapestry would work here.
