Dearest DA-ers,
This past months I've seem to be on a Braun-rampage.
Found a large SK-combination executed in birch or pine.
Then a seperate turntable followed (designed by wagenfeld).
I'm now waiting for a T1 radio and by coincidence tracked this
fella down.
There's no reference whatsoever by the vendor concerning the brand or make of the piece, but when I saw the lay-out and material of it's 'dashboard' I instantly came hooked.
Have you got any idea about year and designer of this piece?
Or does Koen have any great stories about working in the Braun Fabrik 🙂 ?
thanks in advance!

What you have there is a variation on the Braun MM 4. I think it may be an MM 4A-8U. Lovely piece. Radio is a Rams/Gugelot design. Not sure who designed the case butt could be Herbert Hirche. Made 1957-1959 See the link below.
I have a HM-6 with a teak case designed by Herbert Hirche. See pics below

Mine is working but required new tubes, replacement of some paper/foil transistors and repair to the long wave tuning string.
Sound is very nice and warm. Most of my audio equipment is solid state-so its nice to listen to tube gear from time to time. You can see it in my living room in the pics below
I also have a Castiglioni Brionvega console(pictured in my bedroom below) I prefer the sound of the Braun but love the design of the Brionvega.

Aaah, I once had to pass on this one. Was only 100 $ or so, but no cash and an empty creditcard...
It had seen better days though, some surfaces looked like they were redone entirely with tip-ex.
I think the interior was a mess to..
But still, it hurts seeing this back..
