Hi, I am too embarrassed to show, but I think I have purchased a really crap dining table off ebay for $400 buy it now! It was a ?oh my god, it is just listed and it could be really good and I had better buy it before anyone else does? type of purchase. But looking at the picture a few more times and the space it is going to go in, I think it is going to be really bad once I see it for real. I will probably not reveal but please tell me stories of your worst buys to make me feel better and if you come up with some really bad ones I may show you!!!
ok here goes
Well I looked again this morning at my purchase and 'what was i thinking?' It is not even going to suit the space. I have been searching for something round that extends to oval in rosewood - yeh go figure! My partner reckons that we should go through with the sale and get through christmas and then sell it later.
The old table that it is replacing ive been dragging around with me since i moved out of home but i think that even will look better.
I have also provided pictures of the space. Forgive the junk everywhere, lack of paintings etc.....we have just moved into the extension.
Go on have a look - I will take it on the chin! http://www.flickr.com/photos/14975711@N06/

I wouldn't complete the sale
If you think you made a mistake, just let the seller know and pay whatever he'll be charged by eBay. Personally, I think the table looks gauche 1960s/1970s and inconsistent with the rest of your sleek furniture and home.
$400 is a lot of money. Making a mistake on eBay can happen, and backing out of a sale shouldn't be a problem if you just pay the seller any eBay fees.
