I've just bought a grand's worth of 3 seat vintage leather sofa. Thing is, I rent out my room sometimes to tourists visiting my city on airbnb.
People are total clutzes though. I've already had a girl spill nail polish on my bedsheets (soaked thru to the mattress). I don't want the same innocent mistake being made on this sofa.
I am guessing that there must be some kind of transparent waterproof cover that will fit to the form of my sofa without looking like shit. Maybe I would need to pay for a custom one?
Of course one could say don't rent the room out and have pricey furniture etc, but now that I have, it would be more useful to learn how to protect the sofa.
Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you can get plastic slipcovers made for your furniture. They used to be quite popular in the US several decades ago and are still in use in some homes. Just don't expect happy reviews from your tenants.

Either don't rent out the apartment.....or put in furniture you don't care about. Most people, especially renters, don't care so much about spilling things on furniture that doesn't belong to them.
