Not so sure about you guys.. But usually clothes are stored in very plain boring closets.
I have an Ikea cubboard i would like to replace with something nice. My first choice was the "FolienSchrank" by Thut. Link is below. Its very lightweight yet stable. But as all nice stuff costs above 4000 Chf.-!!
I would like to hear about your guys clothes storing solutions so I can muster some inspiration...

Cheers

Mike

A Plain boring closet
Simple, functional, honest in it's materials...hmmmmmm that sounds a lot like modernism...guess I 'll keep them...and the plain simple wooden dresser....

I agree
I just use a simple dresser and a closet.
"innovate as a last resort." It works.

minimal yet aesthetically hobo-like
i currently have a system that is very minimal in that it utilizes only floor space and gravity. the articles of clothing are arranged in exactly the same manner as are the elements of the earth: namely, the oldest stuff on the bottom. the uninitiated would likely refer to this as the "pile" system. to be certain, it looks terrible, but at least it's very inefficient.
it is arguable that the primary benefit of implementing this system is that of reminding me what a slob i've become. but in my defense--when it comes to storage--i have only a crawl-in closet and a modest-sized dresser; but it seems those areas are only for the clothes i don't wear. [some fanatics think that's what the thrift shop is for.]
anyway, i would not recommend your following my example, but since you asked...

I got a lot of clothes
Why....I don't know, but I'm using all of my closets, and I have added to my Target snap-together white and black metal square grid-cubes. I got 'em in each room upstairs and they're nice once put together.

No Drawers
If there's a functional furniture I dislike the most, certainly dressers make fine canidates. Pretty to look at, cumbersome to use. After I get done remodeling the bedroom, clothes will be stored on shelving in the closet. Simple, quick and effortless.
Then...I'll sling 'em over chairs.

Agreed.
That's what I do -- though I don't have a spot (anymore) for a "bureau" anyway !
