I picked up this linen runner by Girard. The label looks recent but I can't find much info on when this might've been produced. Is it perhaps from a pop-up exhibit or some such? Any info appreciated!

Herman Miller for the Home started in 1994 when HM reissued many of their discontinued design classics from decades before. HM also re-opened their showrooms to non contract customers at that time.
I don' t have access to any of the Girard textile books out that is out there (by Leslie Pina & Todd Oldham) but your pattern might be included in both books. If I remember, it was in 1998 that HM reintroduced Girard fabrics for pillows & table runners & discontinued again in 2001.
You can also check Maharam to see if your pattern is part of the current Girard line.
The Alexander Girard exhibit is at Cranbrook Museum of Art in Michigan until tomorrow October 8, 2017.
This pattern is my favorite, it's called Palio. There are a number of colorways and variants, and it also separates into individual repeated figure/ground stripes. I very often find myself watching the full repeat panel like television. Originally screen-printed on cotton/linen, reissued as mentioned above for runners, scrims and pillows. I don't believe cut yardage has been made available at retail for the linen.
The pattern was also reissued and is currently in production as a commercial grade woven synthetic from Maharam.
Pics show Palio variant colorways in blue (lower left), red, and multi, and a Girard Kilim EE panel. (The other thing is Katsuji Wakisaka for Marimekko.)
