I am new, but I am in the market for nice tulip table, but there are so many reproductions, and at a price range of $800-$1500(my budget for the table), I can't seem to find a good reproduction. I say good reproduction as it needs to be sturdy, and absolutely cannot wobble for the kids. This seem like a reproduction of Knoll tulip table..the table base attaches to the top by one center screw. Bottom is powder coated aluminum base, but with no stamps found.
Nickel's worth of something or other...
Think creatively and be patient, and smart...and never buy knockoff crap, especially at retail. This simple ethic allowed me to score the table in this photo for $12, (etc.) just for an example. I suppose, however, that if you have up to $1500 to spend on a table in this common style, you can just go buy one, aren't they all over the place?
(edited so the stupid picture shows up instead of an annoying link)

With your budget, there is absolutely no reason to buy a reproduction.
A brand-new 47" laminate-top Knoll table costs $2069 most of the year or $1759 during Knoll's regular 15%-off sales. If you keep an eye on Ebay or Craigslist, it shouldn't take very long at all to find an authentic Knoll table in your price range.
