Hi, Has anyone ever seen this cabinet before? I got it at a thrift store for a steal. As you can see in the pictures, it's comprised of two pieces which can be stacked (as I have it) or placed side to side (it has holes and little pegs in the rails, which facilitate this arrangement). I got the cabinets for $10 each (!). Anyway, there are no marking on it anywhere, so I turn here. Any ideas?
hmm
apparently between my initial post and the second time around, I lost the knack for posting pictures, so I'll simply provide links. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This is the side view.

Here's another view of the front, showing how the two cabinets slide together. I think it's pretty great really - those rails at the top of each cabinet make the transition much smoother (and keep them from sliding around). I suppose I'm not doing the design any favors as I've placed felt pads between the two cabinets -- so they don't fit together quite as flushly as was intended...

nothing going, eh? oh well....
nothing going, eh? oh well. slight change-- any recommendations for what sort of base would look good on this? I'd have to custom make it (rather than just setting it on a slat bench or coffee table (à la Nelson or McCobb), as the length is a bit unusual (45" while 48" seems to be the nearest standard length for coffee tables). So can anyone think of some base design they've seen that would suit these cabinets?
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you kindly,
Brian
