help identifying chair  

hello, maybe someone can help?
i have a chair that looks like mid-century modern to me. it's made of wood and has a woven back and seat. the back is in an interesting design. then it has the makers mark burned into one of the inside legs. one says Made In Italy within a circle. to the right of it is another mark that is in the shape of a shield. this is where it gets tricky. there appears to be large initials within this design, maybe C D? or C P? then running along the inside bottom point of the shield is definitely a name, but it almost looks like cursive, very difficult to read. maybe starts with a C. then just frustration. does anyone have any info, or can show me where to go for more info? thanks!
