I saw this lamp and I love it- the shape of the shade is beautiful and I like its dainty ways. However, I am curious about who made it- have any of you lamp aficionados seen it before?
Why do I care who made it if I love it? If the lamp was under $200, no problem- I'd buy it- but for $1200- I'd like to know more about it...make sure it wasn't from Sears- ha.

I wouldn't purchase this lamp for that much- I feel the way you do there are plenty of amazing lamps out there for same price or less. And I would feel like a right fool if I paid that much and found it to be nothing more than a lamp (if I spend that much I like to feel like I have made a wise-well informed purchase).
I have seen this lamp before-same base and same shade but with a wood shaft-not metal (I can't remember the price but it was reasonable) by the time I decided it would work in my house it was gone (I know-I know if you like it buy it- ah, regrets I've had a few...)
Again- thanks for the reply- I still love the lamp and I am still curious about the maker-if anyone knows.
Hopefully the lamp and I will cross paths again, at a lesser price.
