I purchased a beautiful Plycraft recliner yes like an Eames but has a reclining footrest! It is in impressive condition ... however... the plastic insert that goes in the base "hole" where you insert the post of the chair is cracked and there are two springs under the chair (that I believe somehow keep the footrest tucked when not in use) that I can not figure out where to attach. Any help in replacing and attaching these parts would be wonderful!!
Kindly,
Kristin

Photos might help.
Sometimes words just won't do it.

Plycraft parts
The plastic part you are describing is the "hub liner". If this is removed, the chair will wobble. It should still be fine even if it is cracked. This place has a few parts. Not sure if their hub liners fit.
I have one of these plycraft chairs with the built in foot rest. I will see if I can get someone to take some pictures of the underside. It is currently in storage.

update
had someone go check out the chair. There are no springs underneath. Take some pictures of the undersurface of your chair so those on the forum can see what you are describing.
