help ID this teak chair?

Hi guys, long time lurker - first poster here. My good ol' Dad found this chair at a thrift in the middle of nowhere. $10 big ones. He says there are no markings on it - anyone recognize this?

only markings on the bottom say "made in USA"
still looks teak?
I'm stumped.

It is hard to tell from the photo, but teak wouldn't be my first choice identification. And if it says made in the USA, then I would be quite surprised if it were teak.

It looks like a
stacking chair of some sort, probably for an institution or business. Is that a bumper on the lower front of the back leg on the right?

I think that IS a bumper on the leg, looking at it. I havent yet seen this guy in person yet, but that "bumper" idea makes perfect sense. Maybe this is a reddish oak - that would make sense being USA made. So we are thinking institutional chair of some sort. Good enough for me - I do like the unusual form.
