In my view
the very best quality and good design comes from Extremis in Belgium. Both the Xavier Lust and Dirk Wijnants designs are excellent...and Belgium is not that far from Italy so they might be represented in your market...or willing to send one to you.

I love this picnik table...
And I think every pre-school and grade school needs dozens of these things. but $4000 for an adult table for two, and $2000 for a children's table for two, seems to preclude this table from mainstreaming. The good design and the high price ensures knock offs.
