I bought this desk on a whim today at an online auction.
It went cheap and i kind of liked it and wants a new desk in my office, and it was stated to be in wenge which i have a new love affair with, so without doing to much research and seeing it close to the end i put in a low bid and won.
But, doing what i should have done before and did some more research i can not find anything that looks remotely close to this desk.
The top is very thick, the floating drawers are not something in can find as an option and lookignat the pics on my computer (and not just on my phone) the wood does not look like wenge either.
So i am more and more thinking that this is possibly an unholy marriege between an alu group base (which looks original to my limited eyes) and a completely different top.
Its kind of a drive so i can not just go and see it in person either.
So what do you guys think, have you seen anyhthing like this before and is there a chance that it could be original?

The base looks like the Eames segmented table base but the top & 2 drawer cabinets looks like by someone else's. I want to say George Nelson executive group but how the drawer fronts touches the base on these are different. Also, if you know the Eames segmented table bases have also a 4 star piece at the top & I don't know if those are not in the way where those drawer boxes are supposed to attach. The Eames segmented tables (in the USA) are mainly conference tables that come in different size tops, shapes & base configuration that coordinated with the Action Office 1&2 contract work/ office furniture system.
I googled "George Nelson double pedestal desk " & images that look like the top & 2 drawer cabinets showed up.

Hi Minimoma.
Thanks for digging up my thread among all the Chinese spam!
I agree with you, it does look like a marriage and the Nelson link does look very much like this top.
Pulls are the same, slightmy different construction of the caninets and a little thicker top.
But Nelson and Miller are at least in the same circle of friends.
There was licensed production of Eames and Knoll furniture and they sometimes differ slighlty in construction and materials.
But another thing that speaks against this being original is that the height is stated as 78cm which is about 8cm to high for this timeperiod and i attribute that to the thick top.
