Hi all - i am looking for some advice & help please in identifying a table. i have a solid teak table that looks very much like the Wegner Ch002 table now made by Carl Hansen (formerly made by Getama). the legs detach which is the only real difference i can see in the table form the Carl Hansen version of the table. The only markings on the table are an ink stamped 'made in Denmark' with a picture of what looks like a castle. The table came with 6 Wegner heart chairs for Fritz Hansen. Can anyone tell me if it's possible this is a Wegner table?
many thanks
Chris

Not wegner
Hi there,
If it has a castle emblem and is in solid teak I thin kyou may have a peter hvidt table for søborg.
Are the legs bolted together with allen keys and at a 90 degree angle to each face?

soborg
hi Simon,
many thanks for your fast reply! - yes it is the Soborg logo on the table. the legs are secured with bolts & wingnuts. the leaves of the table can fully detach or hang down & are very similar to those on the wegner ch 002. i will do some more research - the table needs quite a bit of work to restore & i am not sure if it is worth the time - any ideas where i might get replacement hinges etc?
Chris

soborg mogensen???
hi Simon (and all)
i've done a bit more research:
the legs on the table are i think beach with teak shoes which Borge Mogensen seemed to do on some of his Soborg designs - i cant find the same table anywhere but do you think because of the leg detail it is fair to assume it is a Mogensen table?
if so i would like to restore so any suggestions on findind hinges would be much appreciated.
Chris
