Thanks for all the responses. If I do plant, I am thinking about moving the idea to my fence instead. The idea of house destruction for the sake of a plant sounds silly/scary.
I will look into these breeds. The fence will be wooden. Any foreseeable probs with that? I don't want it to take over the whole fence. And honestly, if it is going to entail lots of leg work other than a simple planting (ie - submerging a container etc) I will probably steer clear. I am trying to make life easy. Making large projects for myself doesn't fit into my current lifestyle!!! The baby, job, wife, and other creative endeavors get all my attention these days!!
But if there is something relatively maintenance free...
