No doubt some people are pretty familiar with all of a designers work but sometimes products never develop or seem to be forgotten or just never got much recognition.

This PK screen is pretty interesting, its a bit more fixed than the Aalto or Eames screen though.

Any other examples?

Not sure if they are unknown or not but they are new to me.
All I know is the company name which is Karpen, from Chicago.
Seems they were a big company up till the 50s.
This chair just sold for $820

The photos the guy selling this chair used did the chair no justice though I agree that its as good looking from behind as it is from the front.I actually think its important that a chair is designed to be viewed from every angle as quite often a person approaches the chair from behind thats one of the reasons I love Milo Baughmans chairs so much.

A classmate
worked for him in '64-'65 or so. Never saw any of the work. They drove to High Point from New York and on the way back my friend's black M B 220 convertible, driven by Baughman, was in a wreck. Took months to acquire a new hood. True story. Never mind.

Hey,
it was just all me and David Whitney and Martin Mull. . .
No, every art education is different, even at one school in one year. It's what you make of it. I wasn't ready for it, probably. Good advice: work for a couple of years and decide what you're trying to be, before spending (your parents') time, money and effort on a four-year undergraduate education. But that's not the typical pattern, I'm afraid.
