Hi,

I'm interested in this lamp at an auction but would love to know whether it is genuine or not.

As soon as I saw it I thought it was an Arredoluce Triennale lamp but when I took a closer look I wasn't so sure. This obviously was made more difficult by the fact that somebody had taken the lampshades off the bars and then cable tied them on to the stand!

It is definitely vintage, going by the old wiring and lamp fixings. However the shape of the lampshades are different, they're rounded on the top. The colours are also slightly different, this one is red, yellow and green as opposed to the typical red, yellow and blue.

Also having never seen one before I can't compare the quality of the stand, this one is brass plated and didn't have very much weight to it. I think I expected it to be heavier and for the metal used to be thicker.

Also the base shape is different from the examples I have seen online. There is no stamp to identify it.

I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could help me with this one as the auction is tomorrow!

Not Arredoluce
... but in the style of. Still a nice vintage lamp and worth buying.
Arredoluce lamps are generally just marked "Made in Italy". You are right about the base and shade details. Not correct for authentic Arredoluce.
