Anyone recognise these? They are laminated or plywood and fold. I'm buying these for myself. Lately I've collected more and more furniture in blonde woods, the thought of using these in the garden as an extend of the living room is a nice idea...

keep off the grass!
those chairs are most likely composed of beech plywood that will surely shrivel up and die in an outdoor setting unless painted or refinished once a month.
reconsider placement for the sake of longevity........

Thanks! I knew I've seen these before, my thoughts went to the balkan area..
I'll use these on the terrace, but I can imagine these floating around the garden.
When not in use, they will be stored away.
Would the moist-issue be a huge problem?

You could use them in the garden or on a terrace but you must put them under cover when not in use. That means folding them up and taking them inside when you're done sitting in them. The plies will de-laminate very quickly if exposed to rain, less quickly if in a sheltered area but still exposed to the humidity and temperature changes outside. I'd find a way to hang the folded chairs on the wall as art inside somewhere, maybe just in a utility room or whatever---easy to grab when you want to take them out, but safely stored.

The chairs do have some kind of protection.
The factory used to paint them with beits (don't know the English word, some kind of coloured varnish)
Wouldn't but them in the rain continuously anyways.

I expect that
the glue used to laminate the veneers is waterproof. The real danger is that the thin plies of wood are more vulnerable to weathering than would thick pieces of wood (like the legs of these chairs ?). And no varnish can be expected to indefinitely keep out the water. Wood doesn't really like water -- wooden boats need continual maintenance. Even outdoor furniture should be protected if and as possible.
