could it be kosumo furniture
someone suggested to me that it might be kosumo furniture out of indonesia
anyone else know of this company?

Asian? You mean danish?
I've seen these styles of dressers all over MCM furniture listings - its usually attributed as some generic Danish Modern piece. Do a GIS for Danish Modern Dresser and if scroll a bit you will find photos of that exact dresser and more info.
