Your pulls should be shaped like a "J"
not like an "L".
For example:

No, the "L" or squared off...
No, the "L" or squared off hardware are a different Nelson design...
...the EOG line. But the leg as well as the construction are both a bit puzzling.
Would be news to me as well if indeed vintage Nelson copies of this ilk were produced. But it wouldn't exactly be surprising.

Came upon this desk and return today at a local thrift. Thought it was Nelson at first but looked a little off. Then opened the top drawer....marked Robert John. So people were knocking off the Nelson desks.

So you went to the thrift store in order to stretch your legs after spending the last several days sitting in your newly upholstered egg chair?

nice thrift shop
I am impressed by hardwood floors at a thrift shop. I do know of thrift shop about 50 miles away from me with hardwood floors (though I think they are a darker wood floor and the shop is overpriced for a Salvation Army - it is one of their "boutique stores" where they send all the designer items). I like the desk and might drive 50 miles for it even if it is a knock-off. What state/shop did you find it in?

Alas, the completion date of ...
Alas, the completion date of my chair was pushed back to 2/10.....trying to stay patient.
The store pictured is the upper west side Housing Works store. They have @ 12 locations across the city and deal in mostly higher end goods. That said, bargains can still be found by those with an educated eye.
Every store also has online "window auctions"and seasonal events for which they charge admission and sell special items The line for these often wraps around the block...people getting on line hours before they start so they can be the first to get in. They have an enormous used book shop/cafe downtown as well. Great shops/great charity!

I've done fairly well at Housing Workd stores over the years. Indeed, lots of competition, but knowledge is still power.
